About Us

I’d love to introduce you to Regional Behaviour Support and share a little about who we are.

Regional Behaviour Support was founded on a simple belief: every person deserves to be understood, valued, and supported to live a life that is meaningful to them.

Our work is guided by three values that influence every decision we make—Believe. Empower. Nurture.

We believe in every person’s strengths, potential and right to be heard.

We empower participants, families and support teams by building knowledge, confidence and practical skills that create lasting change.

We nurture relationships because genuine connection is the foundation of positive behaviour support.

After more than 17 years working across the disability sector, I established Regional Behaviour Support because I wanted to create the kind of service I believed participants and families deserved—one that values relationships over transactions, quality over quantity, and meaningful outcomes over simply managing behaviours.

We know behaviour doesn’t occur in isolation. Every behaviour tells a story, and understanding that story is the key to providing respectful, effective support. Rather than asking, “How do we stop this behaviour?”, we ask, “What is this person communicating, and how can we better meet their needs?”

Today, Regional Behaviour Support is a small team of experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners who share this philosophy. Together, we bring backgrounds in behaviour support, psychology and education, along with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents and adults with diverse and often complex support needs.

While each practitioner brings their own unique strengths and expertise, we all share the same commitment to:

  • improving quality of life
  • reducing and eliminating restrictive practices wherever possible
  • delivering ethical, evidence-informed Positive Behaviour Support
  • building the confidence and capacity of families, support workers and broader support networks
  • seeing the person before the behaviour.

Remaining a boutique provider is a deliberate choice. It allows us to provide continuity, consistency and personalised support, while carefully matching each participant with the practitioner whose skills, experience and approach best suit their individual needs. We don’t believe one practitioner can be everything to everyone, and we think participants achieve the best outcomes when the right relationships are built from the beginning.
